The clip that arguably started the whole low-budget internet video craze also happens to be the best. After the disaster of Mobb Deep’s G-Unit debut Blood Money, many of the group’s fans were starting to wonder if Hollywood Hav and V.I.P. had lost their gritty NYC-essence for good. But after linking up with director Dan “The Man” Melamid to make this horrific video—filled with smoke, Henny, Satan and a bloody round of couch-stabbing—there was no question that P was going to deliver on Return of the Mac.

Shot in Long Island City and Upper East Side Manhattan. Utilities HVX200 night vision adapter, never before (or again) used in videos...I think!
This video was the first time I used my Steadicam.
UPDATE: The drive which stored the backups and master of this video failed, and left me with only the low resolution web file. In order to release the HD version, the look of the video was completely re-conceptualized. Utilizing Machine Learning software a painterly look was created which compliments our original vision for the video.

PRODIGY - "POWER IS PEOPLE"

Shot in the DOC Queens house of detention and some random forest in NJ. The Police chief in the intro is played by is Eddie Salvato who was in Cariltos Way.

Mobb Deep – Dead Man’s Shoes

Reconnected with Mobb Deep for their first video in several years. They dispose of a body in the basement of a shoe repair shop. Shot on a Steadicam flying a stereo rig with a regular and infrared modified Canon 5D.
